Western Sichuan is a land of high mountains, wide valleys, alpine lakes, and remote Tibetan villages. Rising deep within the Hengduan Mountains, the region is shaped by dramatic landscapes and a culture that has remained closely connected to the mountains for generations.
This collection follows the changing face of Western Sichuan—from snow-covered peaks and open grasslands to quiet monasteries, winding mountain roads, and everyday life in remote communities. The photographs are a personal record of traveling through a landscape where light changes quickly, weather can shift within minutes, and the mountains are always present.
Through these images, I hope to share the scale, atmosphere, and quiet beauty of Western Sichuan as I experienced it.
