Northeast Vietnam Landscape & Travel Photography Trip, September 2022

Dates: September 23-26 (4 days)
Day 1, 23 September

Arrival to Hanoi at 12 am. My driver will pick you up to the first location in the afternoon and start capturing sunset and stars at Long Coc tea hills.
Day 2, 24 September 

Today, we continue our discovery of tea plantations.
4:30 am: We’ll rise for an early morning sunrise session at highest point of tea hills. Then come back to the hotel and check out.

9:am : Travel to Cao Bằng. The car will take up to 8 hours. We will capture sunset at some points along the way to Quảng Uyên.
Day 3, 25 September 

This is your first day in Cao Bằng. 

3:30 am: We will start travel to Ngọc Côn and hiking involved  (30 min). After sunrise, we go down, have breakfast and travel to Bản Giốc waterfall (1 hour transfer). 

3 pm: Let’s explore Phong Nặm valley with mountains embracing jade blue rivers and rice fields.

5 pm: We hike up to a high vantage point to capture the sunset and wait for Milky Way.
Day 4, 26 September 

4:30 am: Let’s chase morning fog on the rice field at Phong Nặm and Ngọc Khê valley. 

After sunrise, we will photograph local fishermen on the river with magnificent mountain shape.

9:am Check out hotel at Trùng Khánh and travel to Bắc Sơn valley to chase sunset.  The car will take up to 5 hours. After sunset, we come back to Hanoi and say goodbye the group at 6pm.

What to bring

Gear:
– DSLR/Mirrorless camera with tripod.
– A fast and wide angle lens for night photography.
– A middle-zoom lens such as a 24-70mm.
– A telephoto zoom lens, such as a 70-200mm. 

Wear:
– Windproof jacket (consider the temperature in mountain areas a bit chill in the early morning)
– Casual clothes for dinners and lunches
